The precious Can Jeroni Cultural Center is undoubtedly one of the spaces with greater life of the municipality of San José. Its facilities host throughout the year events aimed at all types of public, which one more interesting. Film screenings, exhibitions, theatrical performances, concerts, presentations ... any activity has a place in its modern facilities.
Can Jeroni was always a special place for josepins y josephines. Before becoming the Cultural Center that it is today, it was for decades the cinema from town. It was built in the 50's and, apart from to carry out the projections, it was used to celebrations such as communions and weddings.
The Sant Josep City Council acquired it in 2000 and rehabilitated it to use it as an exhibition hall. It was not until 2014 that a great reform which resulted, in 2015, in the multipurpose space that it is today.
Currently, it is made up of a auditorium with stalls, amphitheater and movie screen with capacity for about 150 people. Furthermore, the third floor is a beautiful room of 151 square meters in which various activities are held.
The Can Jeroni Cultural Center has become the pride of the municipality, a reference space that promotes culture on the island.
Opening hours
From Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 18:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m. Closed Monday.
