Sa Nostra Room

Sa Nostra Sala: an exhibition hall and cultural center in Ibiza. A meeting point for contemporary art, showcasing works by local and international artists.

About Sa Nostra Sala

Sa Nostra Room, managed by the Consell Insular d'Eivissa, is an exhibition hall of approximately 200 square meters located in the heart of Ibiza city.

This cultural space has gained importance as center for artistic dissemination for both local and international creators, and plays a key role in the promotion of culture on the island. Following the closure of the s'Alamera Sociocultural Centre in 2012, which left a void in the cultural activities of the Consell, Sa Nostra Sala has helped to reactivate the exhibition scene with its own space to host art and contemporary proposals.

The type of works usually seen at Sa Nostra Sala is very varied. They alternate Exhibitions of painting, photography, sculpture, graphic work, multidisciplinary installations, graphic design, crafts and thematic exhibitionsSome of the exhibitions combine the work of Ibizan artists with creations from abroad, but always with a strong connection to the island: either because the artist resides or has resided in Ibiza, or because their work connects with the local identity.

Space is also used for display the art collection of the Consell d'Eivissa, especially in exhibitions that highlight recent acquisitions, donations, or figurative works representative of the artistic evolution in Ibiza. These exhibitions feature established names on the island alongside emerging artists.

Some notable exhibitions

  • “Art of Ibiza”(January-February 2025): An exhibition that brings together figurative works from the last three years within the Consell's art collection. It consists of 24 works by 17 artists, whose works date from the late 2010s to XNUMX.
  • Carles Guasch – Work 2020-2025: An exhibition of some thirty recent works by the Ibizan artist, curated by Joan Albert Ribas. The exhibition combines painting with a complementary sensorial experience, including original music to accompany some of the works.
  • Josep Marí – “Recent work”: An intimate exhibition featuring 21 recent paintings by the Ibizan painter, in which he returns to classic themes such as the sea and island landscapes, as well as still lifes.

Sa Nostra Sala not only serves as a gallery for displaying art, but also performs a highly relevant social function: it gives visibility to local artists, promotes the recovery of the island's visual and historical memory, encourages citizen participation, and serves as a meeting place.

Its Exhibitions are usually free access. In addition, in many cases, they are also programmed parallel activities: performances, music, workshops, guided tours, etc.
