About Cala Martina

Cala Martina is a beautiful and quiet beach of Santa Eulalia. The only day that you will find it more crowded will be on Wednesday, as the hippie market of es Canar.

It is located opposite the islets of s'Illa de Santa Eulalia and s'Illa Redona. It is a beach surrounded by orchards and low houses, what contributes to your relaxed and casual character. It is composed mostly of fine sand.

At the same time, it enjoys many recreational and aquatic activities so that you have a very busy day at the beach. Right there is a diving center called Have fun in which you will surely find an activity that catches your attention. The security conditions provided by the characteristics of this beach make it the ideal place to get started in different water sports.

Also has hammocks and sunshades service but it lacks the necessary means for people with reduced mobility.

In Cala Martina, in addition to resting in the sun and the occasional bath, you are practically obliged to try its restaurants. At restaurant Martina, open all year long, they serve gastronomy dishes Mediterranean and Ibicencan as rich paellas and fresh fish. On the other hand, in Sa Trenka, open from 1978, are also engaged in fish, paellas and seafood. If you prefer to eat something lighter, you will also see a Snack Bar.

At the far left of the cove, according to the sea, there are of the campsites where you can sleep and have fun. The first, known as ChirincanaIt has a bar-restaurant with live music shows very popular among young and old. In it you can still find some of the famous hippies that populated the island years ago. A little further on, in Caló des Gat, is the camping Laplaya Ibiza, perfect if you want, as they say, get up and live with your feet in the sand.

Recommendation

If you like to walk, take a walk along the coast to the left, you will discover coves and nooks where you can bathe, if you are lucky, almost alone.

Recommendations

Cala Martina is one of Ibiza's best spots for windsurfing, sailing, and diving thanks to its calm waters and constant breezes. Every Wednesday (from April to October), the Punta Arabí Hippie Market takes place right next to the cove; it's the island's largest and oldest market, featuring crafts and live music. It's well worth a visit.
