Fantasy Ibiza Festival, urban multidisciplinary art meeting created in 2022 by the artist and cultural activist Lucia Barbiero, celebrates its fourth edition with the aim of kicking off the 2026 season with the talent of great local and international creators and artists and transforming the historic center into a vibrant space where art happens in the open air and the public is part of the experience.
A great multidisciplinary meeting of urban art that takes place on Friday 29, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May 2026, Three days to delve into this fascinating proposal that connects creation, community and transformation.
The streets of Ibiza Town will be the main stage for the 4th Fantasía Ibiza Festival, as well as various emblematic locations in Ibiza Town, such as the Paseo de Vara de Rey, the Park Square or Bastion of Saint Lucia, many of them World Heritage sites.
The festival will offer us live music, painting, dance, performance, installations And, as a major new development this year, movie theater. A mix of disciplines that coexist in real time, generating a dynamic environment where everything happens at the same time: artists painting live, music enveloping the streets and stage performances that invite you to stop... or to participate.
One of the key elements of this edition is its visual identity. The festival's official image was chosen through a nationwide competition and was created by an artist from Ibiza. Danchú, winner with the work “Neuronal Field II”, a piece that connects with this year's theme, “Water and Gratitude”, and which showcases contemporary talent from a local perspective. We will also be able to enjoy the works and a Live painting of the runner-up, Angel Naves and from the third, Rozkolora.
The festival brings together more than fifty local and international artists with a common vision: to understand art as an engine of positive change.
In the musical section, the presence of Alex SerraOne of the most unique projects on the current independent scene, with a sound that blends folk, electronica, and contemporary spirituality, is highly appreciated on the island. Alongside it are acts such as Angel of the Keywith a sensibility closely linked to singer-songwriter music and the introspective, or Ibossim Flamenco, which reinterprets the flamenco language from a current and open perspective, reinforce that hybrid character between roots and experimentation.
These names are joined by other artists such as Juan Pablo Pellicer or Tamara Hernández Shaláas well as training programs such as Besetwhich add nuances to a program that doesn't seek uniformity, but rather contrast and dialogue between styles. In parallel, contemporary dance also plays a prominent role with offerings such as Areal Moon (María Lozano and Adriana Casanovas), which bring movement to the urban space, integrating with the environment and the public.
But one of the most interesting aspects of FIF lies in what happens beyond the stage: more than forty visual artists work live during the festival, creating art in real time while the other disciplines unfold around them. Figures such as Anna Lauriniwith a very powerful urban aesthetic, or the outsider artist Jaime Ferrer MoradoThey add visual layers to an experience that functions like a living organism in constant transformation.
In parallel, the FIF expands its scope with the incorporation of the Ray of Light Awards (ROLA)These initiatives contribute to the cinematic language and open the festival to new contemporary debates, from artificial intelligence to the role of new creative generations. This section culminates with the awards ceremony recognizing projects and careers with social and cultural impact.
In addition, the festival incorporates practices such as artistic upcycling, open workshops and inclusive participation, reinforcing its social and community dimension.
A great cultural event free and for all audiences.
More than a festival, Fantasía Ibiza Festival is a different way of experiencing the island: a space where art is not only observed, but shared, experienced and, above all, felt.
