El Sustainability Observatory de IbizaPreservation organize an interesting Round Table on Sustainable and Responsible Tourism, after the recent celebration of the Fitur 2021 tourist fair, to seek alliances between the public and private sectors that allow the acquisition of sustainable commitments within the framework of the tourist reactivation of this season.
The appointment is 27 May 2021 Thursday de 19 to 20: 30 hours at the headquarters of the Consell de Ibiza and can be followed online through the social networks of the Consell de Ibiza and its YouTube Channel.
At the round table, which will be moderated by the journalist and technical coordinator of the Sustainability Observatory Inma Saranova, participate Joana Maria Garau, General Director of Water Resources of the GOIB; Rafa Ruiz, mayor of Ibiza; Sandra Benbeniste, director of IbizaPreservation; Tomás Azcárate, president of the Responsible Tourism Institute; John Michael Costa, Insular Director of Tourism of the Consell de Ibiza; Y Alicia Reina, President of the Balearic Islands of the AEDH (Spanish Association of Hotel Directors and Directors).
The event will also present the "Guide for sustainable tourism", which aims to offer criteria to evaluate the incorporation of Sustainable Development Goals of the Agenda United Nations 2030 in the tourism sector, as well as identifying the weak points of Ibiza as a tourist destination to develop future lines of action.
Inma Saranova sums up one of the keys to the meeting like this: "The urgency for economic and tourist recovery does not have to be at odds with the commitment of the tourism sector, administrations and travelers with the environment".
