"Land of Dreams", exhibition with images of India by Cristina G. Rodero at Paseo de Ses Fonts in San Antonio from September 5 to October 2, 2019
"Dreamland" It is an exhibition of the photographer Cristina G. Rodero that shows us without complex the uniqueness and asymmetry of rural world of India. A scenario where the past intermingles with the present, the natural with the supernatural and fantastic.
Cristina García Rodero, photographer of Magnum, portrayed for a month and a half the communities of Anantapur in India, visiting hospitals, schools, houses, shelters for women victims of ill-treatment and workshops to portray and give voice to forgotten people, mostly women. This exhibition, which has already been on the Peninsula, is the result of that vital experience.
The sample arrives thanks to the support of Obra Social La Caixa, with your program “Art in the street”, and of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation and you can visit it in the Ses Fonts promenade of San Antonio from Thursday 5 of September of 2019.
“Land of Dreams” will be on display until 2 2019 October.
An exhibition that, through the photographs, wants to give voice to these disadvantaged women.
