The Mallorcan artist Joan Cortes is the protagonist of a new exhibition at the gallery I studied Tur Costa located in the town of Jesus. The studio is a beautiful space created by the painter Rafael Tur Costa and the potter Anneliese witt on a building built in 1971 by the famous German architect Erwin Broner.
Now the sculptor Joan Cortes (Pollença, 1964) exhibits a selection of recently created sculptures, together with graphic works created in collaboration with the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró in Mallorca. The artist has already exhibited his work on the island in the mythical Carl van der Voort gallery, and we will once again be able to contemplate his creations, characterized by the sobriety and the dominance of essential and organic forms, with a great purification in the treatment of volumes.
The opening of the exhibition is the 13 July 2023 Thursday at 19 hours.
