The Ibiza artist Júlia Ribas commemorates his 30 years in painting by presenting the exhibition “The inner illa” in the exhibition hall of the Consell de Ibiza, Sa Nostra Room.
The title chosen for the exhibition has a double meaning, because it refers both to the island internalized by Ribas, and to the island that surrounds and influences it. It reflects her love for the land where she was born and grew up, as a person and as an artist, being therefore a tribute to Ibiza.
Júlia Ribas was born in 1973 in San Agustín, but has lived in Santa Gertrudis for a long time. Her first individual exhibition was at the Marta Torres Gallery in 1996 and, since then, she has lived through various stages as a painter, recurrently using natural materials such as earth, oxides, carbon, ashes...
In “L'illa interior” you will find 30 works by Júlia Ribas exposed, and also the door that is a representation of the poem “Camins” by Marià Villangómez.
The exhibition opens on Thursday 22 of February of 2024 at 20 hours and you can visit until March 22 of 2024.
The room is open Monday to Friday in time 10 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and from 17:30 p.m. to 20:30 p.m.
