El promenade of the Port of San Miquel welcomes throughout the summer a outdoor exhibition of underwater photographs large formats made in multiple dives to the seabed of this area of San Juan and organized by Es Blau, Association of Friends of the Nostre Mar.
It is a collection of 29 images that show the seabed and the marine life it houses, made by a group of Ibizan photographers, specialized in taking underwater images.
The photographers who have participated in the exhibition are: Xavier Mas, Joan Pereyra, Vicent Planells and Simón Vila, led by the experienced Joan Costa, who also serves as curator of the exhibition.
The underlying intention for organizing this beautiful exhibition is to show the people of Ibiza and the vacationers the impressive images of a natural port that houses a multitude of plant and animal species of great showiness and spectacularity, species that cannot be seen on land.
Thus, an important call is also made to the need to preserve and safeguard the marine environment and the entire natural environment of our beautiful islands, making their environmental richness.
The photographs have been taken over the last five years in dives carried out both in summer and winter.
The exhibition opens on Monday 3 of June of 2024 in the 11 hours. You can contemplate these beautiful images of the seabed on the Paseo del Puerto de San Miquel until the 30 of September of 2024.
