Let's celebrate Book Day in Ibiza without leaving home! Interviews, contests, storytelling or children's workshops for a very unique Dia de Sant Jordi 2020
El Book Day or Diada de Sant Jordi, as we know it in Ibiza, 2020 is reinvented due to the coronavirus in Ibiza.
We will miss the book and flower stands, the signatures, presentations and the large number of activities that are organized annually. However, the Ibiza institutions do not forget this April 23 and they have decided to propose an alternative celebration. You sign up?

En Ibiza The acts begin on the 21st and will last until Sunday, April 26. There will be storytelling, children's workshops, presentation of news, interviews, contests and even theater. Yes, everything through Facebook and Instagram.
The Ibiza City Council has also rescued some of the Women's Day events that had to be suspended last March. Thus, under the name of 'Diada en femení', we can enjoy interesting interviews with writers like Najat El Hachmi, Helena Tur or Espido Freire.

SAINT JOSEPH
El City of San José launched two fun contests with the aim of “fostering the creative spirit” of its inhabitants. The first is a Confinement Micro-stories Contest in Catalan. In a text of maximum 600 characters, you will have to tell a story about these days of confinement in which the words appear esgarinzadora, reminyola, garrida and baldraca.
You can present your work until April's 30 sending it to microrelatsantjosep2020@gmail.com. The jury will award three prizes: an iPad for the winner of the first place, an eBook for the second and a voucher of 100 euros in an Ibizan bookstore for the third.

If you are more of images than words, the Sant Josep City Council encourages you to participate in the Photography Contest. "How is your day? What do you see from the window? What everyday moments are inspiring?” Take out your camera, immortalize them and send the Photographs at cultura@santjosep.org until April 30.
There are two different categories: from 12 to 17 years old and from 18 onwards. The winner of the first prize will win a It is worth 200 euros in photographic material and the second one is worth 100 euros.

SANTA EULÀRIA
El Book Day in Santa Eulalia It will also be held from home from April 19 to 23. In the web festivalbarruguet.com, within the schedule 'CultureACasa', will be offered Recommended reading and local writers will be promoted.
You can also participate in an entertaining Book Points Contest. There are five categories:
A: From 3 to 6 years.
B: From 7 to 9 years.
C: From 10 to 12 years.
D: From 13 to 17 years.
E: From 18 years.
Two prizes will be awarded per category: a voucher to buy books or school supplies of 60 euros for the first prize and 35 for the second. Also, your bookmark will be printed for use at the Municipal Library.
