If there was already a serious problem with rents on the island, with the Covid-19 pandemic the situation has become critical for many people. That is why we are happy and echo news like this: The Ibiza City Council has approved a line of rental aid of half a million euros to lend a hand in these difficult times to people financially affected by the Covid-19 crisis. Aid is mainly aimed at individuals and families with a situation of unemployment or ERTE.
The City Council explained that support staff will be hired to evaluate each case and to be able to grant said aid quickly.
The grants will have a maximum amount of 1.800 euros, which can go up to 2.400 euros in cases of special vulnerability.
Of course, to access them is essential have a minimum of 18 months registered in the municipality of Ibiza. Also, you must have a rental agreement in force before March 14, 2020. The house or apartment must be the habitual residence, and you cannot access the aid if you have other properties on the island (or a member of the family nucleus).

Moreover, they have also been approved aid to university students and higher level training cycles. The amount of the aid increases from 500 to 1.000 euros, and the number of beneficiaries of the aid also increases.
