The little dog met his master this afternoon at Can Misses hospital thanks to the inpatient visit program 'Dogspital'
El longed for encounter between Leon and José at the Can Misses Hospital in Ibiza this afternoon took place before the expectation of media and curious people who were in the 0 plant in building D.
As expected after a month without being able to see because of Joseph's entry, the emotion has been more than evident. Behind the contact with the hospital last Wednesday, little Yorkshire was once again stepping into the center as if it were already something common. Accompanied by Toni, the trainer from the Ibiza Agility club who evaluated him to authorize the visit, the dog went straight to the room specially set up for this type of appointment as if he knew what awaited him.
Little did the cameras, the photographers, and the journalists crowding around him. When he saw Joseph waiting for him in the room he could not contain the emotion. He waved his tail without stopping and his heart beat a thousand times an hour. Sitting up at the end on Joseph's legs, sitting down was not an option. It was time to pounce on him, the uncontrollable licks and the smiles with a few well-hidden lagrimilla.
Once the media have left the room, Jose and Leon have enjoyed the meeting with their family. Looking away from his master was impossible. It was the moment of the hugs and the caresses that could not happen during a month.
Sitting on its owner's lap, the Yorkshireman's face couldn't be more expressive. The illusion, joy and affection have been irrepressible. "It is impossible to know which of the two has been happier," commented the family, visibly excited. "This initiative is a tremendous injection of courage and desire to move forward for José, as it will surely be for many other patients," they stated.
“The commitment of all those who have participated in the project is worthy of admiration and, above all, of thanks. Today they have made my father immensely happy ”, said José's daughter, greatly grateful.
"Leon, are we going for a walk?" José said to the animal, making it go crazy with emotion. At the moment the visits of the small Yorkshire of just two kilos will take place in Can Misses, but "surely this push will make everything improve and that soon they will be able to see each other out of here", predicted the family.

The Hospital Can Misses has been the precursor in Spain of this initiative that allows the hospitalized patients to receive the visit of their pets in a room equipped for it. Different companies, veterinarians, clinics and canine educators have unselfishly promoted this program.
The animal must go through a series of rigorous controls before going to the hospital. Hygiene and good behavior are essential, as well as the perfect state of health of the dog.
