As has been customary in recent years, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ibiza (MACE) present your project MACE FOCUS, which this 2024 celebrates its sixth edition with the subtitle “Visitable Magatzem".
This subtitle, “Magatzem Visitable”, alludes to the installation of the exhibition, which will show some packaging so that we can see how the works travel or are stored when not on display, adding additional meanings.
This is an exhibition designed to show all the citizens of the island the excellent art collection that the museum has, establishing connections and dialogues between works that are already part of the permanent collection and new works that have been added recently, as a result of acquisitions, donations or deposits.
In this way, in these times of turmoil when it is so difficult to see calmly and reason with serenity, we can once again understand art as an evocative, sensitive and stimulating medium that allows us grow intellectually and creatively with their meanings or expand our sensitive and mental horizons.
FOCUS VI shows works by Gisela Broner, Elmyr de Hory, Rubén Núñez, Victor Vasarely, Isabel Echarri, Barry Flanagan, Marcel Floris, Susy Gómez, Antoni Marí Ribas “Portmany”, Adrián Martínez, Katja Meirowsky, Stella Rahola Matutes, Bertil Sjöberg, Edith Sommer and Heinz Trökes .
MACE FOCUS VI opens on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 12 noon.
You can visit it until the 19 of May of 2024, except on Mondays, which is the day MACE closes.
